How double elimination works
The bracket has two sides: the winners bracket and the losers bracket. Teams start in the winners bracket. A first loss drops a team to the losers bracket — a second loss eliminates them.
The winners of both brackets meet in the grand final. If the losers-bracket team wins that match, a bracket reset match is played — since the winners bracket team would have their first loss.
